1 week after receiving an incorrect order from Blinds.com the issue is still unresolved. I did my leg work up front. Sending all sorts of pictures of the incorrect blind and the order tag and build tags. Here we are 6 emails later an I am being asked about something that is on the label… By the same customer service representative.
A smart move would be for them to have just admitted fault, sent me a return label and maybe re-ordered the blind for me. Or at least a simple apology for the error. I have received nothing from blinds.com except for more questions and more questions.
If they’d look at my account they may realize that I have outfitted my entire house with blinds ordered through their website.
Blinds.com, you need to do something to redeem yourselves. And quickly…

Coming from a team that has done the same to others in the past few weeks, I can’t believe that somebody like Keith Brooking could be such a cry-baby. How many years have you been in the league? 11 years? Screaming at a coach? In the dome?
So what we scored another touchdown. Crazy things happen in this league. Turnovers can show up a plenty, as Romo showed us all. The Vikings were just trying to stamp their plane tickets to New Orleans to play the Saints.
Running up the score ends when you parents stop dropping you off at the game..

What a waste…My wife had an appt. with Dr. San..rs at 2:30pm today, which she wasnt visited until 3:30pm. She spent 7 minutes with her, and gave no opinion or help or guidance. I would assume that if she spends 7 minutes with each patient there would be no way she could be 1 hour behind schedule. We’ve wasted a $35 copay, our insurance company will have wasted their money on this appointment. What a sham this is. In addition to the tardiness, my wife left the appointment with more pain in her foot than she arrived due to the “testing” Dr. San..rs did on her foot.
my recommendation, do not see Dr. San..rs at the Park Nicollet St Louis Park Clinic.

Watching the Twins / Yankees game #2 Friday night I witnessed something that happens to Minnesota sports more often than normally possible. A fair ball was called foul, this ball would have put Joe Mauer on 2nd base. It bounded out of play for what would have been a ground rule double. A few singles later in the inning would have put the Twins on the board. Instead they left runners stranded after those singles.
The problem with this is the umpire was about 20 feet from the spot it landed, perfect view and he blew the call. This one should have been a prime example for instant replay because the ball bounded out of play so it was a dead ball and they could have put Mauer on 2nd. Clear cut…
Others are thinking the same thing, Nicholas Deleon at CrunchGear posted about this.. Prompting me to air my grievances as a long time Twins fan.

Lately I have found myself trying to figure out if I am en expert at anything. Not just good or talented at something, but an expert.
With projects around the house, playing various sports, programming, friendships, and the list goes on. I know I am talented and very capable. But I don’t feel like I am an expert at anything.
It makes me wonder how many of us actually are experts at something. Last fall I read a great book called Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. He mentions in the book that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something, sports, music, law, finance. That is almost 5 years of your life working from 9-to-5 at something with no breaks.
I do 2 things that much, work and sleep. But I am not even an expert with those subjects. At work I do so many different things that I cant have the time or focus to become and expert at one of them.
One thing I am probably closest to becoming an expert is that I talk like I am an expert at everything.
“Jack of all trades, master of none”
I dont want to be that guy anymore. I want to become a master at something, an expert in that field.
Here’s the problem… I dont know what it will be…

I can’t figure out why people spend their time trying to take pictures of the stage/artists at concerts. Especially with Point & Shoot cameras. You overpay to see live performances and then you spend the whole time fixated on your camera and why you can’t get a good shot!
Why not focus on the present? The only purpose the blurry pics will serve is to remind you of the concert at which you were distracted.
Also you distract those within 3 rows behind you.

LYRICS:
Someone falls to pieces
Sleeping all alone
Someone kills the pain
Spinning in the silence
To finally drifts away
Someone gets excited
In a chapel yard
And catches a bouquet
Another lays a dozen
White roses on a grave
Yeahhh…
And to be yourself is all that you can do
Heyyyy…
To be yourself is all that you can do
Someone finds salvation in everyone
Another only pain
Someone tries to hide himself
Down inside himself he prays
Someone swears his true love
Until the end of time
Another runs away
Separate or united
Healthy or insane
And to be yourself is all that you can do(all that you can do)
Yeahhh…
To be yourself is all that you can do(all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can do(all that you can do)
Heyyyy…
Be yourself is all that you can do
Even when you’ve paid enough
Been pulled apart or been held up
Every single memory of the good or bad
Faces of love
Don’t lose any sleep tonight
I’m sure everything will end up alright
You may win or lose
But to be yourself is all that you can do
Yeahhh…
To be yourself is all that you can do
Ohhhh…
To be yourself is all that you can do(all that you can do)
Heeey…
To be yourself is all that you can do(all that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can–
Be yourself is all that you can–
Be yourself is all that you can do

"You hit them with that, they be like, 'This mutha—-a is kinda crazy but he keeps on talking about Jesus! He keeps on talking about the Lord!' "
(Bizzy Bones recalled about speaking in tongues on KPFT-FM)
Cool story about Bizzy Bone and his walking days of giving away all of his money and living homeless for 7 months. And how like many stories of meeting Jesus, flips your life upside down in ways people dont understand…
Not even his mother…

Our Lady Peace released their new album that took almost 3 years to complete. Not on iTunes so I am hitting up Target at lunch.. But their songs are very inspirational… They are seekers for something out there. The lead singer Raine Maida, married to Chantal Kreviazuk has a huge heart for people suffering from AIDS, a huge heart for children affected by war (War Child Canada - Currently spotlighting the region of Africa my mother was born and raised in, The Democratic Republic of Congo).
Where Are You
Video
Many times I have played OLP's music for friends and they have asked if they were a christian group. So there is a tone of inspiration that I am not the only one who sees it.
I see in this song that Raine is calling out in the chorus "Where Are You" and questioning in a verse if he is happy? Claiming he has everything he wants, and questioning if is there more to want?
I feel a lot like this sometimes, seeing the blessings I have recieved and still yearning for more? Feeling a void that is not satisfyable with anything I can try to fill with. But then to lean on Jesus for him to fill that… I would change the verse to
"Where are you?
I need you!"
